Edge Wound Heaters
When the highest power is needed in a small area, edge wound components are used. These elements are used to convert gas-fired furnaces to electric heating and to replace rod elements in furnaces that need greater power. These heating components are used in a variety of furnaces, including roller hearth, pit, batch, low temperature aluminium tempering furnaces, and high temperature exothermic gas generators, to suit their heating needs. These heaters are made of an 80/20 or 70/30 nickel-chromium alloy. Specially designed dimensions are used for high temperature and high power ratings. It emits the most radiation from the element's surface area and produces high watts in a small space.
